It's time! Time to look back at a year's worth of fanvids.

- The Girl I Used to Be [PRDC; Kendall/Shelby]
- Crackusatsu 2 [Multi-Toku]
August
- Disturbia [Go-busters; Escape]
November
- Unwanted [PR Samurai; Lauren]
December
- Deck Your Halls [Multi-Fandom]
- Farewell to Yesterday [Jetman; Ryu/Rie]
- So Far Away [KR Wizard; Mayu&Misa]
My favorite video this year:
I kind of feel like this was a cool down year because a lot of 2016's videos were just that good. But I'm not knocking any of my vids because I still love them all. If I absolutely had to pick a favorite though, I'd probably say Cease Fire. Just because it's something that is so rarely seen with female leads in comparison to men.
My least favorite video this year:
How dare you make me pick a least favorite child! Every year I feel so bad about this question. I could maybe say I Can Love You, just because it's kind of the black sheep in regards to tone. Not that I had one particular tone for the entire year, but that vid just seems the most jarring.
Most successful video:
First of all, I am astonished at how many views I've Got the Power has gotten. It's already in my top 20 most viewed vids of all time on YouTube! And, while that vid is good and all, I kinda feel like I have to give it to Cease Fire. I feel like it's the vid that I poured the most of my heart into this year.
Video most underappreciated:
I honestly haven't really paid all that much attention to what did and did not get the best reception this year. So I'm just going to give a blanket answer of "anything that's not I've Got the Power."
Most fun to make:
I feel like this is most of the vids from the latter half of the year. However, I have to give it to Unwanted because it was only supposed to be a quick vid to get me in the mood to work on another thing (which I never did finish this year), but I was loving it so much that I made a whole big thing out of it.
Video with the single sexiest/most bad ass moment:
The succession of girls with bows and back-to-back scorpion kicks in I've Got the Power. Especially because "Shelby's" scorpion kick was horrible, and the stunt person did not come anywhere near connecting, but I made it look good.
Biggest vid fail:
I honestly can't think of any "fails" from this year's vids. Just that there are things that I still haven't finished.
Hardest video to make:
Well, for one, a couple DVD rips for shows used in Ready or Not, Cease Fire and The Girl I Used to Be were a pain in the neck. However, Cease Fire also had a show where the DVDs just would not open at all in MPEG Streamclip. And that was the X-Men cartoon. Literally every single clip of that show was encoded twice. Once through VLC as I physically watched the clip, and then again as I ran that encode through MPEG Streamclip to get a proper file that Vegas would read.
Honorable mentions to We Are, for taking me years to finish, and Ready or Not, because I was trying to get it done by St. Patrick's Day and watch the Power Rangers Twitch marathon at the same time.
Most unintentionally telling video:
I'm honestly stumped for this one.
The things I've learned this year:
- Some Pink Rangers have absolutely no monster kills, and it's not the ones that you think. (I've Got the Power)
- Toei refused to have official female Green Rangers until Lionsgate announced the Power Rangers movie, to which they churned out two before said movie could even premiere. (Ready or Not)
- I am going to hell. (Crackusatsu 2)
- Sometimes I just need to drown myself in some Yasuko Kobayashi toku. (Disturbia)
- I can make Toshiki Inoue toku look good (Farewell to Yesterday)
In 2017:
- I made it to lucky 13 in terms of vids made in a year!
- I didn't keep my "one Dark Angel vid a year" promise. I don't even have a single frame of Dark Angel in any vid from 2017.
- I didn't make a Toku 2017, but at least I can also say that I didn't force it. Mostly because I'm so far behind on Kyuranger at this point. (I'm in the double digits of unwatched episodes.)
- I didn't make any multi-season Super Sentai vids, but roughly half of my videos had sentai in them.
In 2018:
- Keep my one vid a month average. It's been my average for the last few years and it's really nice.
- Make at least one vid for a source that is not a toku.
- Vid more Kamen Rider.
- Vid a season/series that I have not done a solo vid for.
